Mission from the Founders:

When we started tending Bees we just fell in love with the whole process. We loved learning about how bees work and what an amazing creature they are and how important they are to the world we live in. It has really become a family affair that we all love. Every time I would go out to inspect our hives I would get frustrated fumbling around with the hive. My gloves would stick and I would have to move hand positions and my shoulders would get sore holding up the frames to try and get a good look at the colony. If we had queen cells, propolis, wax or anything else to work on we then had the issue of figuring out how to do it with one hand or prop the frame up with out dropping.

During one inspection that is exactly what happened. My wife tried to adjust her hands to turn the frame and the whole thing fell to the ground after it hit the top of the hive breaking the comb and killed countless bees. That is when I set to task to make a difference. Not being able to find anything on the market I decided to build something that would help. After several attempts The Bee Tree™ was born and I cannot tell you how happy we are with it. I can do my hive inspections in half the time and the job is just easier. The Bee Tree™ is a must for all beekeepers no matter how large or small your apiary is.

Philosophy

At The Bee Tree, we believe that beekeeping is vital to the sustainability of our local environment as well as the future of our planet. Our goal is to create products that make beekeeping more enjoyable, easy to do and educational for the whole family. See how we give back to learn more.

Vision

Our goal is to place the bee tree wherever a beehive is being tended. We believe that our product makes beekeeping safer for the bees themselves thus preserving the fruits of their hard labors as well as ensuring that they continue to do what they do best. The easing of the burden of inspection and frame maintenance for the beekeeper is an added benefit as well 🙂

How We Give Back

For every Bee Tree that is sold, we donate $5 to The Honeybee Conservancy. This organization places buzzing bees in gardens and urban farms that are doing exceptional work to grow fresh produce for schools, soup kitchens, senior citizen centers, and low income neighborhoods.
